| “Fire In The Sky”
Celebrating Independence Day on the 4th of July
2006 at the University of Missouri Faurot Field Memorial Stadium.
“Bummer the Drummer and The Kansas City Streetband” are seen here
kicking out the jams for the assembled thousands who came to
celebrate the USA’s birthday and honor those who fought for, and are
fighting for it. “Old Glory” flew high over both the young and the
not so young folks who came to watch the spectacle of the “Fire In
The Sky” fireworks display and have laid back summer evening filled
with good music. The threat of rain came and went, the sun came out,
and a good time was had by all. The “Doxies” (at
www.thedoxies.com)
opened the show playing songs from the new cd “In Search Of”
on “Emergency Umbrella / Co-opt Records”
(at
emergencyumbrella.com)
and the “Missouri Symphony Orchestra” accompanied the fireworks
display.
